The map is carved from maple with CNC precision, sanded and then finished with a clear topcoat. Treeline Terrains sources the maple locally through Gagnon Lumber, a family-owned Vermont sawmill practicing sustainable timberland management. The living nature of the wood gives every piece its own subtle variation in grain, a faithful, one-of-a-kind piece of art grounded in an actual place. The "water" is hand-poured using a blue metallic epoxy, set right into the carved terrain. This piece is available in two styles, a land only style, or with land, the Delaware Bay and the northern portion of the Chesapeake Bay (and yes we do know the Chesapeake is in Maryland).
