New York Wood Carved 3D Topographic Wooden Map | New York State Gift

New York's landscape, translated into a detailed, true-to-life 3D topographic map. New York State is the only state that stretches from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. The map is carved from maple with CNC precision, sanded and then finished with a clear topcoat. Treeline Terrains sources the maple locally through Gagnon Lumber, a family-owned Vermont sawmill practicing sustainable timberland management. The living nature of the wood gives every piece its own subtle variation in grain, a faithful, one-of-a-kind piece of art grounded in an actual place. The "water" is hand-poured using a blue metallic epoxy, set right into the carved terrain. This piece is available in two styles, a land only style including Long Island, or with land and water features depicting Lake Ontario, portions of Lakes Erie and Huron, and the Atlantic Ocean. An ideal gift to preserve a memory; a family trip, a proposal, or simply a place someone loves.
